Located in an existing Landmarks designated building in the SoHo Cast Iron Historic District of New York City, this unique project consisted of renovating an existing 2600 sf grade-level retail space and expanding the retail use to the 2900 sf lower level. To achieve this the project featured the design and installation of a new open stair and passenger elevator to bring customers down to the lower level. Development of this special retail space involved extensive coordination with the project's Code Consultant for the various New York City Department of Buildings and Landmark Preservation Commission approvals required by the project.
